Wow, it’s been a while since I stepped in front of the camera! It’s about time I give you an update on life and Melbelle…
Things are looking great for Melbelle’s future – you guys have been keeping me busier than ever. So much so that we’ve recruited two extra staff and – big news – after 18 years at the same company, I’ve finally handed in my notice for the day job to focus more on growing Melbelle! It’s a very exciting, although admittedly slightly terrifying time with so much change but those that know me know that I’m not afraid of a challenge and I look forward to this next chapter.
Things have not all been great though; life loves to throw in curveballs and the start to 2024 has been a rollercoaster of emotions. My sister, aged 37, was diagnosed with breast cancer just after Christmas and my grandad passed away in January. Following surgery, my sister has just this week been given the all-clear, so when I say it’s been a rollercoaster, it really has! Some of you have noticed that I’ve been slower at responding to emails over the past month and whereas I usually keep any negative and/or personal news to myself, I felt that you deserved an explanation. I want to thank every one of you for your patience recently – not a single one of you has become frustrated and I feel so incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful, supportive community; thank you. Please also let this be a reminder to check your body regularly for any lumps and bumps; even if you’re in your twenties or thirties and to seek a second opinion if you have any doubts about the first (as my sister thankfully did).
On a more light-hearted note, let’s delve into a few of the outfits I’ve been sporting over the past few weeks (on the odd occasion when I’ve changed out of my old faithful joggers and a hoodie!).
